  Interface Engineer

 

The Job:
The Interface Engineer will design, implement and debug new application functionality, with an emphasis on the Web, WAP, and J2ME interfaces of the Upoc application.

Job Duties:
The Interface Engineer, working closely with Creative, Client Services, and Product Development departments, is expected to create application interfaces that are easy for users to interact with, easy for engineers to maintain and contain a minimal number of bugs. The individual should adhere to a process of methodical analysis, development and debugging and participate in the creation of functional and technical specifications, meeting frequently with other engineers to plan future functionality and improve engineering process.

Qualifications: Expertise in HTML markup languages, server-side Web scripting (one or more of JSP, ASP, ColdFusion, PHP, etc.), CSS, JavaScript, requiredAJAX coding, Java programming and Unix experience preferred.Minimum of 1 year Web Development experience required, three+ years of professional experience as a Web Developer preferred.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to technically design and implement web, wireless and other user interfaces.Understand prevailing conventions in the design of said interfaces.Familiarity with SQL, BREW, J2ME, WAP, and IVR programming are an additional benefit.
