Purpose Of Role:In this position, you will work in strategic partnership with the Senior Management Team within the End to End Delivery organization to support the effective management of organisation and culture change, as well as designing communication strategies around business proposals. Such proposal communication will be both internally and externally focused. Key Responsibilities:q Set, drive and communicate both proposal delivery as well as transitioning personnel communications.q Responsible for managing the delivery of best practice and applying benchmark standards in communications in a services environment. q Establish targets and standards, undertake reviews, surveys and audits of messages, channels and major events/recognition initiatives and consultancy services, to identify their effectiveness and recommend ways of achieving improvement. q Ensure alignment to external and internal messages – including PR, marketing and advertising strategies - so they are pro-actively reflected through parallel internal communications / events/recognition activity. q Responsible for the deployment of the End to End Service Delivery brand.q Manage and develop internal / customer facing messages.q Develop, implement, manage and measure transformation of events and recognition through on-line technology, to create an efficient cost effective service. (where appropriate).q Work with other LOB communications, events, and recognition heads to co-ordinate major pan-BT communications activity, and functional development (where appropriate).q Develop editorial content and content management for communications (where appropriate).q Take legal and professional responsibility for all channels for which the role holder is responsible.Qualifications:q A Marketing / Communications industry background, 6+ years. q Experience in developing communications in a managed services/sales proposal environmentq Typically degree and post graduate qualification in a related subject, e.g. Business / Marketing / Communications/Journalism.q National Council for the Training of Journalists professional qualification, where appropriate.Skills/Experience:q Relevant experience in a very senior professional communications role, in an external or internal events/recognition/communications function. q Relevant experience in editorial senior management and, or corporate publishing, with a recognised and relevant track record.q Clear understanding of the strategic role of communications in achieving positive change and delivery of business objectives.q Highly developed inter-personal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to deal with people across a wide range of functions at all levelsq Impeccable editorial judgement, excellent design, creative and production skills, and extensive knowledge of publishing law (where appropriate).q Sound commercial judgement and implementation of clear financial controls.q Results orientated, pro-active, enthusiastic approach and resilient under pressure. The successful applicant will ALSO have excellent written and oral communication skills; executive presence; the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to lead and influence and; work with a “get things done” work ethic using multiple channels as resources.
