You will have an immediate impact as a key individual contributor on a development team focused on mobile software applications. You should possess a solid software engineering background, new product development expertise, and demonstrated proficiency in a relevant technical domain. You should also have the ability to establish rapport and elicit cooperation inside and outside of your immediate team.ResponsibilitiesCore contributor in the software life cycle of our product line, from concept, through development, to field testing, market introduction, and sustaining engineering
Work with engineers in related disciplines to understand customers' needs and develop high-level software requirements and specifications
Develop, debug, integrate, and support mobile applications
Provide engineering support to internal and external customers
Execute aggressive schedules that meet stringent demands for quality, functionality, supportability, usability, and reliability
Participate in the improvement of software life cycle processes
Qualifications BS or MS degree in EE, CS or related discipline. Extensive experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree
Over 8 years of professional experience in software development for technology products with a demonstrated track record of achievement
Experience in one or more of the following technical areas (the more, the better): Application development for handheld devices and/or Windows CE platforms
Programming languages: C & C++ and/or Java
Real-time systems software developmentM
Networking protocols and topologies
Experience with integrated development environments and source control tools strongly preferred
User interface design
Strong engineering competence, including the ability to learn new technical concepts quickly
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to establish rapport and communicate with people at all levels of an organization
Able to work in a high energy, motivated team atmosphere
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to support field tests and interact with end-users
