Lead Telecommunications Installer/test and turn-up
*Must be a Level 4 installer, AT&T certified a plus (or willing to obtain certification)
*Must be experieinced at installing Next generation fiber optic terminals, xDSL, DLC, WDM, etc.(Fujitsu, Calix, Adtran, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent)
*Must be experienced in test and turn-up of Next generation fiber optic
terminals. Looking for techs that can install the systems and test/turn-up those same systems. (Turn-key installations)
*Must be availabe to travel the East Coast of the United States.
Job Purpose: All telecommunications technicians/installers Duties:
* Plans network installations by studying work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; preparing an installation diagram.
*Capable of managing indivdual jobs to ensure dates and budgets are met.
* Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, and terminating cables; installing telecommunications equipment, cable trays, and building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards. Some power work will be required.
* Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
* Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
* Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.
* Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
