Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Maintenance Electrician II for an opportunity located in Joliet, IL.

Position Summary:

Install, maintain and repair electrical and electronic power and control systems and components on plant and production equipment. Determine appropriate location and installation methods in order to safely integrate with other systems. Analyze and repair equipment and system breakdowns and failures. Layout and install conduit, cable, and wiring to support installed equipment. Schedule and perform periodic inspections of systems and equipment. Perform all work in accordance with applicable state and local codes, manufacturers’ specifications, product installation and operating manuals, etc.

 

Responsibilities Include:

- Install and test components in electrical and electronic power and control systems and equipment.

- Investigate failures, malfunctions, or breakdowns in electrical and electronic systems and equipment. Determine cause and repair/replace components as needed.

- Design and lay out changes and expansions of electrical circuits/systems. Calculate system loads and required capacities and select appropriate materials. Maintain appropriate documentation of current system and modifications made.

- Select appropriate equipment and appropriate capacity cabling and design ladders based on system loads and physical layout of project.

- Layout, bend and install conduit and cable ladders. Pull and test wiring and cabling.

 

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent plus completion of a formal technical school program in electrical/electronic construction, installation, and maintenance.

- Four to six years of electrical/electronic experience related to industrial repair and troubleshooting.

- A working knowledge is required of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatics systems; use of shop equipment; and the ability to read blue prints, schematics and ladder diagrams.

- Fork lift, lift platform, conduit/pipe bending and precision metal fab equipment (ie: lathe, mill, drill press), along with the full range of electrical and electronic test instruments.
