Level 3 is constantly evaluating new opportunities covering the broad spectrum of its communications services and has recently completed a number of successful transactions, including eight acquisitions and two divestitures since December 2005. The Corporate Development Group is primarily responsible for leading and executing these efforts, including the identification, evaluation, structuring, negotiation and closing of transactions. The Senior Manager will play a critical role on deal teams working on a variety of projects across all stages of the transaction process. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of financial analysis by junior team members and primary financial modeling; will develop executive level presentations and present parts of recommendations and analysis to senior executives and external parties; will coordinate internal and external parties during due diligence; will assist the legal team in the analysis and preparation of deal documents; and will play an increasing roll in the negotiation and execution of transactions. Ideal candidate qualifications include the following: * 4 years of work experience in investment banking, financial analysis and planning or corporate development and recent MBA preferred * Solid academic record * Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Telecom experience is preferred but not required * Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills#MAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
