Manager, Human Resources

DependableHomeTech (DHT) is a new and fast growing business in the state of Louisiana with offices currently in New Orleans and Baton Rouge and we are looking for an HR Manager to lead the HR functions.

The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for managing the HR practices ensuring procedures are Company compliant. Acts as a strategic business partner to Business Unit (BU) leaders providing recommendations, guidance and direction related to employment practices and other operational procedures as well as:


Working with BU leaders to ensure business is successful and functioning as requiredAnticipate BU needs as it relates to HR requirements Manage company group benefit plan and provide annual analysis based on current market values and provide recommendations based on findingsProvide guidance and recommendations to BU leadership team regarding company policies and proceduresProvide reports of monthly metrics to BU management and HR team Lead mass recruitment initiatives ensuring sufficient resources are hired for identified training start datesPost, screen and perform interviews in support of the BU’s recruiting needsIdentify recruitment methods to best attract labour pool of candidates Ensure annual performance reviews are completed and follow appropriate process and policyWork with Corporate HR to develop and maintain Best Practice Employee Policies Ensure Corporate policies and procedures are provided, understood and adhered to by all employee levelsManage workplace safety claims ensuring compliance with local legislationChampion communication strategy ensuring that corporate communiqués are reaching employee baseActively participate in weekly HR team meetingsConstantly look for ways to improve the employee experience

 

The ideal candidate will have:Post Secondary Education preferably in Human Resources or BusinessHR designation/certification Minimum 5-8 years HR Generalist experienceExperience with occupational health & safety regulations Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration experience an assetIndustry experience an asset
