General Purpose
Is responsible for the sourcing or execution of services of a specified technology or product area. Manages suppliers of one or more responsibility areas. Works with other organisations to ensure that the material or service meets pre- determined quality, technology, supply and cost criteria.

Main Responsibility Area
Is responsible for sourcing expertise in new Services and Software area.. Monitors supplier performance and creates development plans. Responsible for contacting and negotiating the prices. Responsibility for the subcommodity strategy creation and/or implementation. Develops and manages supplier relationships in own area.

Scope
Individual Contributor - Operates autonomously in own subject area. Can analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. Increased awareness of and involvement outside of own subject area. Distils big picture. Makes decisions about and prioritizes own work. - - Manager - Clear managerial responsibilities for people. Interprets policies. Ensures existing plans are put into operation. Executes and/or oversees processes to meet customer needs. Responsible for analysis, design & development of policies, plans, programs. Acts with independence and discretion. Develops appropriate solutions.

Impact
Impact is short-term through individual and team contributions. Scope is primarily within own subject area in a function/unit. Actions and errors impact on program, project or function.

Key Tasks
Makes third party R&D subcontracting services (including R&D subcontracting, external temporary labour and service provisioning) available to Nokia internal stakeholders with best possible terms and conditions. Has accountability for subcontracting contracts according to total cost efficiency. Secures the Sourcing service level to internal customers and contributes to concepting of the Sourcing needs (including core context analysis and make-or-buy decision) with the internal customer. Is accountable for the day-to-day Sourcing operations in defined area. Contributes to and implements Nokia Subcontracting Strategy and related development activities. Is responsible for supplier base management and drives supplier selection. Manages Nokia RFQs and supplier quotations towards supplier selection and the entire R&D case lifecycle (cost, quality, availability, risk, performance and related case feedback). Has responsibility of supplier relationship management and supports supplier capability development.

Individual Portfolio
Typically 8-12 years relevant experience. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth).

BA degree required.

Environment

Analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors. Solutions can often be checked and proved. Medium collegial or consultant interaction.
