Manager of Professional Development
This position will be responsible for the ongoing identification and deployment of training needs, and the design and implementation of employee targeted training and development programs.
Utilizing a variety of
resources, the Professional Development Facilitator will work with staff, local HR & Training, and all CMC departments to assess and address organization-wide and department-specific training and development needs.
Ensure that employees are provided and aligned with appropriate and relevant training and development to maximize their effectiveness and long term potential within the CMC and overall Comcast.
Plans, organizes, develops and implements all aspects of employee development programs, assesses
departmental needs and meets those needs by using all available resources.
Evaluates and recommends tools and resources (online courses, books, articles, etc.) to ensure blended
learning approach.
Directly involved in developing mentor/mentee programs, succession planning programs and career
progression to enhance CMC employee's skills, promotional opportunities, career advancement and job enrichment.
Collaborates with CMC HR and Training teams to identify and deliver broad and targeted training in response
to annual workgroup survey and other means of assessment.
Stays up to date on internal and external training and development issues, concepts and methods.
Serves as CMC focal point for evaluating and recommending changes to our developmental offerings and calendar.
Working closely with the CMC HR team, provides counseling to employees on career development
opportunities.
Collaborates with HR and Training teams to evaluate and contribute to the Online CMC Communicator
(prepare and structure content).
Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Comcast Media Center, and upholds the Comcast Promises and Touchstones.
Other duties as assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of five years experience in designing and delivering training, development programs and strategic leadership for a large organization.
Previous experience working in tandem with HR team and skilled in the principles and practices or
supervision, training and personnel management.
Demonstrated skills and success in assessing training and development needs, strategic thinking,analysis
methods and procedures.
Demonstrated skills and proficiency with computers, audio-visual equipment and other technical equipment
used in training.
Ability to collaborate and cross team across the matrix to gain support for training and development activities.
Demonstrated ability to align training and development needs to CMC strategic roadmap.
Ability to collect, compile and analyze data and prepare clear and concise reports.
Take part in the budget process, as well as manage towards said budget.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and to handle and prioritize a variety of assignments and meet
deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to present and communicate well at all levels of leadership and in all areas of
development training.
