Manager of System Test

Ulticom is the world's premier provider of signaling solutions enabling telecommunications network equipment, system and service providers to deploy Mobility, Location, Payment,  Switching, and Messaging solutions within Wireless, IP, and Wireline Networks.  Ulticom is headquartered in Mt. Laurel, NJ with additional offices throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.

 

SUMMARY:

The System Test Manager is responsible for all testing and/or test development efforts used to support Ulticom products.  The System Test Manager must ensure all test development activities are in sync with other Ulticom test organizations.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Provide mentoring and direction to test group.

·  Interface with Product management, Program management, System engineering, System Solutions, Component Solutions, System integration, Configuration management, Documentation management and test groups in other Ulticom business units in order to lead and manage test projects.

·  Interface with Program management, System engineering and other tool development and test groups in other Ulticom business units in order to coordinate tool development projects utilized in testing of Ulticom products.

·  Interface with test and tool development groups in other Ulticom business units in order to synchronize test processes, test project, development tools, and test tool consistency.

·  Organize tool development and test document reviews.

·  Evaluate test results and make decision related to test completion criteria.

·  Manage training sessions for the test group by interfacing with system test management and Human Resources department.

·  Manage equipment purchases for the test group by interfacing with system test management, other test groups and site management.

·  Generate and manage all departmental budgets.

·  Manage test equipment resources for the test group by interfacing with other departments.

·  Manage time reporting and vacations for the test group by interfacing with Human Resources department.

·  Manage career development for the test group by interfacing with system test management and Human Resources department.

·  Manage performance appraisals for test group by interfacing with system test management.

·  Manage compensation process for the test group by interfacing with system test management.

·  Manage human resource allocations for the test group by interfacing with system test management and Human Resources department.

·  Ensure that test group follows all test processes defined by QA department.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

·  Significant experience in a leadership role

·  10+ years in test activities, including the development of test plans and procedures for requirement-based testing activities.

·  2+ years of development experience.

·  Excellent Leadership and Organizational Skills.

·  Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·  Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

·  Knowledge of various telecommunications architectures, operating systems (including Solaris and LINUX), and processor families.

·  Understanding of C, C++, and JAVA programming environments.

·  Knowledge of organizational management and good presentation skills.

·  Fluency in French.
