That's why we're here. This position will fill an Engineering role for the Inform - Campaign Messaging Platform in the Messaging Systems Team. Responsibilities will include serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the platform, interfacing with the vendors, internal users and T-Mobile Operational Teams on a daily basis. Manage vendor relations to ensure product specifications, accuracy of implementation and quality of operations. Work on System design to provide input for all feature requests and platform enhancements. Create product documentation, network designs, capacity plans and service descriptions. Work with Systems Integration teams to ensure the completion of "hands-on" testing and verification of all features and functions, document and test all new hardware and software upgrades prior to live network rollout. Provide Tier3 support for the Platforms as necessary. Position Requirements Ability to define T-Mobile specific requirements and effectively work with other Departments, Users and Vendors on developing, testing, implementing and supporting these requirements for existing Applications. Create Application documentation, network designs and capacity plans. Utilize existing and develop enhanced means to measure and demonstrate Application data, statistics and performance. Use skills to continually enhance Applications and Processes. Ability to demonstrate hands on, process driven, team based work methodology. Must be self-motivated and posses excellent written and oral skills. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Four year degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required. Minimum two years working experience in Telecom/Networking. Experience in Linux/ UNIX including network related troubleshooting Experience with Oracle Databases and SQL knowledge required. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, DHTML or similar technologies. Experience with scripting languages such as UNIX Shell scripting, PERL / PHP. Exposure to industry protocols such as SMPP, SS7, TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, etc. Working knowledge of GSM Architecture required. Understanding of text and data messaging traffic flow in a GSM Network. Ability to perform duties off hours when required.
