Mgr Engineering Operations

- Provides architectural development and implementation of new products and services.
- Provides technical expertise on new products and services to the management team.
- Coordinates system resources with other entities to accomplish new product implementation.
- Manages outside plant maintenance and CATV installation teams, including familiarity with NEC and NESC. Recommends hiring, termination, and disciplinary action.
- Directs all activities of Headend Technicians and Engineers. Recommends hiring, termination, and disciplinary action.
- Ensure personnel are fully trained.
- Evaluate job performance of personnel and recommend merit raise.
- Ensures proper safety procedures are followed.Develop and manage budget for functional area.
- Communicates clearly and concisely with Comcast employees, customers, and the public
- - Ensures FCC and local franchise compliance.
- Attend engineering and technologies conferences and seminars as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or the recognized equivalent in work experience.
- Specialized training in electronics and networking or the recognized equivalent in work experience and self study.
- Five years technical experience, including exposure to engineering, networking, administration, and three years functional supervisory experience.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment with minimal direction while meeting aggressive schedules. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets, word-processing, and CAD programs (such as Excel, Word and Visio).
- Valid Drivers License and good driving record.
