Mgr Residential Field Sales
Key Objective;
Lead the assigned direct sales team, comprised of supervisors and representatives to attainment of departmental and company-prescribed objectives through the utilization of company-endorsed sales and marketing methodology.
Primary Responsibilities: (May perform any or all of the following duties.)
- Build and manage an effective sales team, ensuring continued subscriber growth and customer retention throughout assigned area.
- Positively communicate and reinforce all company and departmental policies, procedures and directives, ensuring consistent and uniform application of and adherence to same.
- Participate in the hiring, training and performance evaluation of direct sales representatives and supervisors.
- Provide training and reinforcement to all team members in the following areas: effective implementation of company-prescribed sales and retention offers; selling and positioning tactics, as well as, competitive information and product knowledge.
- Facilitate timely collection and dissemination/escalation of DSR-gathered market intelligence. Key areas of focus include: competition, theft and customer/prospect feedback.
- Identify and optimize new direct sales opportunities, as we as they arise
- Identify and overcome sales barriers and other impediments to attainment of budgeted goals.
- Exceed budgeted connect, retention and ancillary sales goals.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external role partners, including: Comcast staff, customers, vendors and contractors.
- Assist the Senior Area Manager in business planning and budget formulation
- Motivate all team members to achieve maximum personal and team performance targets
- Conduct weekly field visits with DSRs and Supervisors
- Manage and actively participate in all departmental and regional sweeps, competitive initiatives, audits, and events held at non-traditional venues.
- Prepare and disseminate all required reports accurately and promptly.
- Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance as prescribed, including: at the office, at scheduled events and in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in marketing, sales or communications, or the equivalent in work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of residential direct sales field management experience in a high-volume, highly competitive, high-churn environment.
- Demonstrated success in realization of targeted revenue and/or unit goals.
- Cable experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership, motivational and communications skills required.
- Candidate must be able to work out of Lanham Rockville and Frederick,MD office.
