Job Objective:

ICO Global Communications based out of Reston, VA is looking for a Network Administrator to help support its infrastructure and staff.Candidate must have a wide area of experience, ranging from desktop support to network administration.Must be able to manage projects, maintain deadlines, adapt to rapidly changing environments, and work well under pressure.Job requires attention to detail and strict adherence to documentation in order to uphold standards and conventions.Successful candidate must have the ability to work independently, make effective decisions, and contribute to a team of peers.Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Job requires shared 24x7x365 on call support and occasional travel.This is a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate to excel and gain experience with the latest technology at a rapidly growing company.

Core Competencies:


• Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory.
• Exchange Server 2003.
• Windows SharePoint Services or Server.
• Phone switches and voicemail (Cisco IPT).
• Internal and external DNS configurations.
• SPAM filtering, virus prevention, and tape backup.
• Windows XP and Office 2003/2007.

• General help desk support, diagnosis, and repair.

• Mobile device support with Blackberry Enterprise Server and ActiveSync.

Networking Skills:


• TCP/IP - Working knowledge, OSI Model, routing, and subnetting.
• Firewalls - Security Policies and hardware VPN - NetScreen preferred.
• Routers - Interface configuration, routing, and access lists.
• Switches - Configuration, VLAN’s, ISL Trunking, and STP.
• VPN - L2TP/IPSEC - Microsoft ISA experience preferred.

Experience & Education:


• 2-3 years experience in network administration and support role.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Microsoft certification a plus.
• Cisco certification a plus.
• Oracle Financials experience a plus.
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley or other regulatory rules a plus.
