Network Administrator/IDS

This is a 2 year contract with possible extensions in Durham, NC.Intrusion Detection Analyst requires Extensive TCP/IP network knowledge, IDS experience (specifically Cisco IDS, Enterasys and Snort experience helpful), Linux Admin skills (specifically RedHat), shell and Perl scripting experience, and SQL (MySQL) knowledge. Exposure to security management platforms such as Intellitactics or Net Forensics. Job Description: The position of the Managed Security Services (MSS) Intrusion Detection Analyst requires specific focus on Intrusion Detection, Analysis, Forensics, and Event and Risk Mitigation. The associate will be part of a 24X7 team monitoring numerous devices deployed globally, and required to perform comprehensive investigations. The Intrusion Detection Analyst will collaborate with: LABS, MIS, IDS Reporting Administrators, Clients, Vendors and other stakeholders as appropriate during various efforts. This position is customer facing and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Job Specific Technical Competencies: Extensive TCP/IP network knowledge, IDS experience (specifically Cisco IDS, Enterasys and Snort experience helpful), Linux Admin skills (specifically RedHat), shell and Perl scripting experience, and SQL(MySQL) knowledge. Exposure to security management platforms such as Intellitactics or Net Forensics. Knowledge in the behavior of current internet threats (e.g. malware, viruses, bots, ddos attacks, etc.). Risk Mitigation experience helpful as well as familiarity with various OS, website hosting products and previous high end firewall knowledge (Cisco Pix, CheckPoint, etc).
