About the OpportunityInvestigate, resolve and track trouble ticketsAssist in domestic and international roaming processes including testing and verification, and inter-system operability Produce monthly reports and logs for management team Coordinate tower, electrical, Telco, and other contractors Assist with technical engineering designs and recommendations to the evolution of the Billing and Provisioning process including OTA, HLR’s, billing gateways, and back office applications.Evaluate and provide recommendations on new switch infrastructure vendors and platforms Provide technical leadership and guidance to the other personnel on all network element, transmission, signaling and switch issues.Monitor cell site statistics and system performance daily Answer and respond to cell site alarms and calls from NOCSome scheduled night work requiredTwenty- four hour emergency on call availability
Requirements:BSEE or equivalent experience At least 2 to 5 years Telecommunications experience Excellent interpersonal skills Knowledge of wireless/wireline telecommunications Strong Unix/Sun Solaris backgroundKnowledge of network design, transmission and /or switching systems Understanding of an SS7 backbone signaling networkOperations experience a plus Excellent computer and data networking skills Effective time management, leadership and organization skills.
