About Access Integrated Networks:
Access Integrated Networks is the service provider of choice for over 1,000 communities in the Southeast for voice and data services. Access is the first in its class to deploy its own private IP network utilizing soft switch technology to deliver high quality, affordable communications services to small businesses and consumers. Established in 1996, Access is a profitable, privately held Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) headquartered in Macon, GA.
In 2005, Access proved its long term role in the local exchange carrier business by signing a Commercial Agreement with the incumbent local exchange carrier in the Southeast that will ensure the success of Access while it moves towards the future. The Agreement ensures the company time to build out the Access Digital Network, now available in select cities.
We have a state-of-the-art converged VoIP network offering unique possibilities to acquire and apply attractive skills and expertise in this promising, rapidly expanding field. We are currently seeking a Network Planning Manager that will be responsible for the overall Network planning and design.
Primary Responsibilities: Develops collocation hubbing arrangementsManages backhaul/transport providers and contractsMaintains master schedule of CO buildoutsCompletes ongoing traffic studies and groom network as necessaryMaintains equipment records for all central office locations and network elementsOrders all transport circuits (T-1's, T-3's, IP VPN's, etc.)Develops ISR's and MOP'sDevelops network mapsDevelops spares and exchange programImplements RMA and maintenance tracingNegotiates least cost routingWorks with Revenue AssuranceReviews billing of transport circuitsDevelops metrics and reportingManages Network Planners (may be assigned supervisory responsibilities over other positions as the network grows)

Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or four to six years in a facilities based telecommunications industry with similar responsibilitiesWorking knowledge of electronics, grounding practices, ATM, DSL, Frame Relay, HDSL2, HDSL4, T1, T3, PBX, systems, inside plant, outside plant, VoATM, VoFR, TDM, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, NAT, PAT, routing, bridging and switchingFamiliarity with ANSI T1.403, ANSI TI.417, and TR-73600 standardsFamiliarity with G.711, G.729, G.723, H.323 compression codesFamiliarity with Telco central office layoutsFamiliarity with voice, data, and equipment engineering technologies and has an advanced knowledge of telecommunications equipment, terminology, and standard practices and procedures
