Webmetrics, recently acquired by NeuStar, Inc, is looking to hire an exceptional network support analyst to join our existing talented and passionate engineering team.  At Webmetrics, we provide our customers with a world class software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to help ensure their websites and web applications are always up, fast, and reliable. Our homegrown monitoring platform tests our customer’s websites and applications from hundreds of locations around the world, alerting them of downtime and reporting on performance trends. We also offer our customers services such as load testing, monitoring of streaming videos, and monitoring of REST/SOAP web services.

 

Job Purpose

We are looking to quickly hire a full time network support analyst to join our team.  At Webmetrics/NeuStar, everything you work on directly impacts our customers and our business. You will be involved in projects from inception to launch, having your say at every stage. Our development team is small and self-organized, and uses an agile development approach. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow with the company, and gain a lot of experience delivering great products to market.

 

Responsibilities

As a Network Support Analyst your duties will consist of a broad spectrum of projects ranging from the development and maintenance of our GlobalWatch Network and administration of internal systems to running load tests for our load testing customers.

 

In addition, as a Network Support Analyst you will help to plan and champion new internal operations and data analysis solution(s) to allow the team to be more efficient in their day to day tasks. This is a very dynamic position and you will be exposed to all aspects of our services business including web applications, system administration, support, network operations, professional services. Performing Load Tests – Which includes developing test plans, perform test execution, project management, providing advanced recommendations to customers as well as written analysis of results. Working with Clients via e-mail and over the phone to identify a broad range of performance and application issues. Advanced network troubleshooting, including DNS queries, Unix and Windows System Administration. Helping to deploy, maintain and troubleshoot a world wide network of servers. Project Management - Helping to identify, plan and champion new internal operations and data analysis solution(s) to allow the team to be more efficient in their day to day tasks.

 

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, have the ability to react quickly to customer problems, work proactively with other departments, and possess a methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving.

 

      Preferred skills: Unix and Windows server administration skillsKnowledge of Internet protocolsNetwork administration skillsCollege degree or technical certification(s) in computer hardware or software Expertise with MS Office suite
