Manufacturing/Production/Operations Career Level:   Experienced (Non-Manager) Company:   Level 3 Reference Code:   8622 Operations Engineer Requirements A Content Delivery Network (CDN) Operation Engineer is a high powered Tier2 individual responsible for resolving complex application and network problems on the Level 3 CDN and addressing customer issues reported to the CDN Network Operations Center (NOC). A CDN Operations Engineer has intimate knowledge of the internet and networking protocols along with their excellent communication skills allows them to perform in-depth troubleshooting of intricate caching, streaming, and storage problems, often communicating directly with the customer's technical contact. Additional responsibilities include the daily management of the network, responding to alerts generated by a variety of tools in a timely fashion as per the defined priority levels and SLA. The successful candidate will possess a full understanding of web environments and architectures, very strong knowledge of HTTP, DNS, and familiarity with web caching. The candidate must be very comfortable using Linux and Windows.
