Operations Manager

The Operations Manager position requires an individual with skills and experience in both personnel management and systems management.  Ideally, the candidate will have many of the skills that fall in range of a Sr. Engineer / Systems Administrator profile in order to facilitate direction, guidance, and oversight of a team of technical personnel responsible for operating, maintaining, and configuring a complex and distributed Enterprise Management System for a large Government customer.  The position requires a proven history of successfully managing high profile operational environments, excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as a clear understanding of SLAs and customer service.  The successful candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:

 Working knowledge of UNIX and/or Windows systems administration Experience in the use, configuration, and/or administration of one or more of the following areas: HP OVO, HP NNM, HP OVP, Remedy ARS, BMC Patrol, AT&T AGMEMS Use of Enterprise Network Management Protocols –  (i.e., applications that use SNMP and custom agents) The ability to manage the identification and resolution of complex problems Excellent communications skills demonstrating the ability to interface with project managers, engineers, installers, and customers 7+ Years of operations experience with at least 3 years managing an operations team

 

A BS/BA technical degree is required, with applicable experience; an MS/MA degree is preferred.  Candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance, with lifestyle polygraph, or must successfully obtain this clearance as a precondition of employment.  Primary work will be performed in Columbia, MD or at the client locations nearby; no relocation is authorized.
