Order Fulfillment/Logistics Specialist

Location: US-NC-Raleigh/Durham-RTP Requisition ID:  REQ59221814 (Post ID:70741044) Job Level:  Experienced (Non-Manager)Job Summary Responsible for coordination of complex order fulfillment activities and logistics services for major customers in North America. Manage cross-functional special projects focused on delivery service improvement.   This position will work closely with Order Management, Procurement, Order Fulfillment and Logistics teams to improve inbound delivery of materials and timely fulfillment of complex orders ensuring quality of shipments and alignment of delivery to the needs of our customers.   Duties and Responsibilities: Focus on major customers and special projects to address the needs of the customer and/or Nortel OperationsReview customer’s requirements and Nortel’s contractual commitments for order fulfillment and delivery to customer’s sites. Recommend and implement best service solutions to meet the customer’s needs. Lead special projects focused on improving and maintaining delivery performance.Collect data, analyze and publish metrics designed to monitor delivery performance and quality of shipments.Perform detailed root cause analysis of order fulfillment and delivery errors, recommend corrective and preventive actions, cooperate across supply chain in implementing approved action plan Facilitate effective communication between Order Managers, Customer Fulfillment Primes and Logistics service providers to ensure the customer needs are met. Coach and train Order Fulfillment Primes in processes that enhance Nortel’s ability to deliver our products on time, in the right quantity and to the right place.  The success of this position will be measured by improvement in delivery performance and increased Customer Satisfaction.  Required Skills and Experience: Ten or more years of direct experience in logistics processes, transportation, order fulfillment and delivery of complex orders to telecom customers Demonstrated success in managing projects focused on improvement in delivery services and increasing customer satisfaction. Successful track record of solving problems affecting quality and timeliness of order fulfillment Effective communication skills, experience in communicating with various functional teams across supply chain, internal and external customers.Travel Required:  Minimal travel Position Type:  Full Time, Employee Relocation assistance:  None,  Homebase Eligible:  NO Shift:  Day/First Shift Business Unit:  Global Ops and Quality
