Location: US-NC-Raleigh/Durham-RTP Requisition ID: REQ58494710 (Post ID:70193015) Job Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)Seeking self-motivated individual to join Order Fulfillment Planning team. Team is responsible for setting and managing all Wls, Wln & Optical inventory in Nortel’s Distribution Center for Americas customers. Team is also responsible to set schedules and production plan for the integration/test area. Accountabilities Include§ Establish production orders to support integration testing § Set production plan/schedule to support service-level targets, conferring with Product and Customer teams § Evaluating planned and proposed process changes; adjusting production plans; analyzing capacity constraints§ Enhancing department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. § Maintaining accurate systems / database information§ Monitoring and reporting inventory and service metrics.§ Issuing Production Orders to support approved plan and order commit dates. § Monitoring demand and adjusting plan as necessary § Securing material/product to fulfill customer orders to committed/requested dates, working expedite requests, & communicating any schedule impacts to internal customers § Implementing Engineering changes§ Partnering with Sales and Account Teams, Revenue Forecasting, Systems Integration, Product Primes, Order Fulfillment: Customer & Supplier Facing Fulfillment and Logistics functions. Skills and Experience- Demonstrated sense of urgency, customer-first attitude and behaviors- Strong analytical abilities and decision making skills- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills- Knowledge of MRP, Production Plng, Demand Plng, Order Fulfillment and Order Mgmt- ERP experience required- Knowledge and understanding of BOMs, product structure and Engineering Change Mgmt - Experience in best practice Phase In / Phase Out management - Ability to assess business risk and make Operational decisions - Highly developed multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize- Attention to detail- Superior computer skills (MS Suite) including Access Eligibility Prerequisites § 2+ years Production Planning/Scheduling, Order Fulfillment or Supply Chain Operations experience or related fields (Inventory Mgmt, Procurement, Order Mgmt, Product or Network Engineering, Eng. Change Mgmt, etc)§ Knowledge and understanding of leading edge planning tools and best in class Planning and Materials Mgmt practices (VMI, demand pull, statistical analysis, etc)§ Understanding of revenue and product forecasting, demand planning cycles and practices § APICS certification (or progress towards) a plus• Degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering or equivalent work related experience§ High energy, adaptable, self-starter and able to work independently§ Exceptional relationship builder at all levels of the organization and with external contacts; exemplary track record and references required§ Anticipates and resolves problems; proactive in planning, action & follow up§ Resourceful; able to find solutions and identify resources to get tasks completed§ Product knowledge beneficial§ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies Candidates typically stay in the role for 12 to 18 months before moving onto next development opportunity.
