Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative position will entail initiating sales calls, obtaining new accounts, maintaining and developing accounts. Sales Representatives are expected to perform these tasks in approved demographic areas. This position requires effective communication, presentation skills, time management and organization skills. Sales Representative must also be properly suited to conduct outside sales by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Identifies sales opportunities and presents product information to key decision makers. Able to work independently and achieve sales expectations with minimum supervision. Cold calling to area businesses Makes sales presentations to prospective commercial prospects. Solicits in assigned areas. Negotiates appropriate pricing and adjustment decisions within established guidelines. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as leads based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources. Travels in assigned territory to call on prospective customers to solicit Record the sale on the sales rep site in a timely fashion Performs scheduled sales training Turns in New Customer Agreements to the Sales Manager for review and approval in a timely fashion. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use computer data base software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current valid Florida State driver’s license
Clean driving record
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds; must be able to walk 4 hours a day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Functions as outside sales representative soliciting commercial prospects. The preferred expectation is a minimum 40 hour week, however, success is limited to effort put in.
