J. Kent Staffing is searching for a Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk for our client, a telecommunications company with offices located both nationally and internationally.  This is a newly created position helping to support the Office Manager and Controller.  A/P Clerk will report to the Controller and is responsible for supporting submitting A/P invoices for payment to their check processing vendor located overseas. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

§  Process and submit invoices and employee expense reports to A/P department

§  Track status of open invoices; follow up with A/P regularly to ensure timely payment

§  Assist with monthly A/P accrual

§  Assist with reconciliation of A/P general ledger accounts

§  Prepare annual 1099’s for all vendors and individuals

Purchasing Administrator

§  Convert all shopping carts to Purchase Orders for Finance, Tax and Legal departments

 

Qualifications

Qualified J. Kent Candidates present with a High School Diploma and competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  One year of related A/P experience required, preferably using SAP, along with a proven track record of listening and understanding customer’s needs and then delivering outstanding customer service.  Candidate should be goal oriented with the ability to set and prioritize challenging targets by managing their own time.
