TITLE: PROJECT / PROGRAM  MANAGER - DIGITAL VIDEO, BROADCAST SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT

-> CANDIDATES MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT EXPERTISE IN ADVANCED DIGITAL VIDEO SYSTEMS -- SUCH AS
ENGINEERING PROGRAM AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR SETTOP BOX or DIGITAL VIDEO BROADCAST PLATFORMS (SUCH AS SCIENTIFIC ATLANTA, MOTOROLA, DVB) AND/OR DIGITAL VIDEO DELIVERY SYSTEMS (SUCH AS HFC, CABLE, IP-VIDEO).  THIS IS A SENIOR POSITION REQUIRING SIGNIFICANT INDUSTRY EXPERTISE.

 

OUR CLIENT:
We have been retained to recruit a senior program and project manager to lead development of new technologies for services such as digital video distribution, TV / Wireless media event production and network distribution, and interactive media content management.  We are seeking an entrepreneurial, self-starter to take charge of programs and to deliver them on-time and on-budget.  Our client is in an exciting fast, growing business.   


POSITION DUTIES:
• Program manage development of new technologies for digital video delivery platforms used for live digital broadcasts and for content management and delivery.
• Develop schedules and project plans.  Manage project priorities, issues, vendors, and personnel
• Manage digital video equipment suppliers, in-house personnel, and work closely with marketing and sales to assure delivery on product road map, development schedule, etc.
• Promote communications between operational groups.  Build teams

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Serious cable and digital broadcast video, ip-video or Settop box (STB) experience
• Solid understanding of Scientific Atlanta (DNCS)digital video platform, Motorola digital video and settop box platform, or Satellite / DVB systems
• Working experience with VOD applications and systems (such as Seachange, NCUBE, Concurrent)
• HFC, Cable, or IP-Video over DSL, or wireless experience is a major plus
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities
• Excellent oral/written communication and inter-personal skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fluid environment

LOCATION:
Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area. Relo benefits TBD.
