Payment Center / Lobby Representative

Join the many faces of Comcast as a member of our customer service team! Comcast has an opening for a front desk customer service position in Comcast's San Francisco Payment Center at 260 Potrero Avenue (at 16th Street). The shift days for the position are to be determined. The hours of operation for the store are 9:45 am to 6:45 pm on weekdays and 8:30 am - 5:30 pm on Saturdays.

Job responsibilities include:

Effectively and accurately inputs work orders on-line to prevent any problems relating to the customer.

Views sales as a way of helping customers receive the best value for their money.

Actively listens to customers and aligns appropriate products/service to their needs and interests.

Responds to all face to face and telephone customer inquiries in a positive and professional manner.

Uses patience and diplomacy in handling difficult customer situations.

Follows up on customer inquires in order to ensure that customer needs are satisfied in a timely manner.

Develops and maintains an up-to date knowledge of Company's product, programming and marketing campaigns in order to effectively market and sell new or upgraded services.

Takes payments, including verifying identification and credit card payments. Balance cash drawer.

Processes service reconnections and explains associated charges to customer.

Completes customer change of service request and service transfer request as needed.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Required Skills:
High school diploma or GED.

1 year of customer service related work experience with exposure to PCs and other office equipment.

Cash handling experience.

Ability to do basic math calculations.

Strong verbal & written communication skills.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including Saturdays, and ability to work overtime, as needed.
