Principal Systems Engineer

Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Principal System Engineer for an opportunity located in Milpitas, CA.

The Principal System Engineer is technically responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial problems which impact major company programs. Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, novel concepts and approaches. Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside organization with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• The design, development, modeling and evaluation of communication systems, subsystems and algorithms for communication networks, data links, and control systems such as point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital/radio communications technology and network architecture design.
• Performs functional analysis, requirements/allocation and interface definition studies to translate design requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Designs, develops and troubleshoots software programs for base station subsystems.
• Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Five (5) plus years of work experience in system integration.
• Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills.
• Capable of positively mentoring and guiding less experienced talent.
• Experience in radio frequency amplifiers, transceivers and base-station architectures are highly desirable.
