Principal Technical Architect

Responsibilities will include:
- Review all RF performance issues submitted from the regional field test organization during the device Technical Acceptance process and lead investigation with device vendors and field test organization to resolve.
- Analyze field test results of device defects via device logs, network/application traces, and voice quality audio logs to help diagnose the problem, and assess network performance impact.
- Work closely with other director groups including DI&RT team and DDR to drive corrective actions into devices.
- Analyze Metrico drive test results, volunteer survey results, and regional field test drive test benchmarking results to trend RF performance and establish key device certification and quality metrics for RF performance.
- Develop and enhance Radio Interface Failure (RIF) prediction tool model for 2G/3G devices. Assess RIF prediction pre-launch for device TA certification and correlate with actual RIF post launch to improve accuracy of RIF prediction tool.
- Evaluate post launch RF performance issues and drive corrective action through cross functional teams within Subscriber Product Engineering, Device Quality and Performance, and Supply Chain
Required Skills:
BSEE Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience in device mechanical/electrical design and
- Minimum 5 years experience in device approval testing including: interoperability testing, FCC, GCF, and device field testing
- Project management experience with large cross functional team
