Project Engineer – Systems IntegrationScope

The Project Manager designs, defines and implements processes for monitoring project plans, milestone, and costs to keep the project on schedule and within budget. In addition, the Project Manager supports assessment of the overall project, development of risk management strategies and procedures, and focuses on the delivery of satellite and microwave-based systems for internal/external customers.ResponsibilitiesDefine, develop, oversee and coordinate all aspects of projects between clients, systems, line management and other departments
Provide technical/analytical guidance to project team both internal departments and clients.
Design and define project requirements and interface with the drafting department to ensure that all engineering parameters, needs, and client requirements are being fulfilled on a timely basis
Develop and monitor detailed work plans, work schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports from initiation through delivery as required
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals on a daily basis
Interface with functional peer groups, management and/or outside customers by gaining cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc
Manage the integration of vendor tasks; develop and prepare procurement requests; track and review vendor deliverables
Conduct project meetings to ensure timely deliverable for projects
Accurate and timely accounting of company assets on projected timelines as dictated by agreed to commitments for the project to Manager on an on-going basis
Interface with customers, internally and externally, to effectively and efficiently tailor products and service solutions to the needs of the client
Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience required
Two years of related satellite filed experience preferred
Must have proven experience in the application of network design, development and implementation techniques on automated information and/or communications systems that involve a variety of hardware and software duties as a senior technical staff member
Experience in the application of network design, development and implementation techniques on automated information and/or communications systems that involve a variety of hardware and software suites is desirable
Advance expertise in IP network design and implementation using CISCO and other vendor equipment is desirable
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to collect, access and report factual data and present logical conclusions is required
Solid understanding and proven track record utilizing standard project engineering and management methodologies is required
Advanced organizational and project completion skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills is required
Able to effectively manage multiple projects and function with minimal supervision is required
Demonstrate strong understanding of concepts and issues across functional lines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required: must be able to prepare formal documents to be presented to both internal management and external users
Must be able to effectively serve as company advocate: negotiate for the company and department, both orally and written
Must be an excellent problem solver, flexible and able to accommodate changing priorities and directions
Self-starter: seek out potential issues that aren’t readily apparent
Must be able to interact effectively within all levels of the company
