Project Manager - Medical Center Messaging Program

BJC HealthCare is one of the largest nonprofit healthcare organizations in the United States, delivering services to residents primarily in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and mid-Missouri regions. Our nationally recognized hospitals and affiliation with Washington University School of Medicine ensures our goal to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.

 

Presently, we seek a Project Manager for our Information Services team based in St. Louis, Missouri.  This individual will provide project leadership for a major initiative on the Washington University School of Medicine campus to replace traditional pagers with leading-edge messaging technology.  This is a multi-year project that includes the installation of an in-building cellular network at the Medical School, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.  The project will also include the deployment of a customer-focused program to migrate employee pagers and internal alphanumeric paging systems to this new technology.

 

Qualified candidates will have these experiences or demonstrated abilities:

• Experience managing major projects

• Working knowledge of cellular technologies and standards

• Excellent customer service and vendor management skills

• Experience managing multiple vendors working on the same project

• Excellent oral/written skills

• MS Project and Visio experience

• Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred)

• ITIL Foundations and PMP certifications (preferred)
