Project Manager Needed in San Diego!

Alliance Telecom Solutions – Project Manager (Oracle Background)

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in Oracle to work a 6+ month contract position in San Diego, CA.  Immediate Start Date - Local Candidate Preferred.

 

PROJECT:

 

This requirement is in the IT PMO, which handles cross functional projects involving IT. Client would like a Project Manager with oracle experience to large projects, and has had to manage several sub projects at the same time, or multiply projects at the same time. 

 

SKILLS NEEDED:

 

¨  5 years of Project Management minimum – must have experience with Oracle

¨  Able to create and manage complex project plans with sub projects.

¨  They will be accountable for 2-5 projects

¨  Cross functional project management experience required

¨ Have the ability to see ahead of the participants and anticipate where the operational issues will arise. Be pro-active in getting these in front of the project team members. 

¨ Able to judge when to escalate, and excellent ability to identify, track and mitigate risks to the project.

¨ Excellent and clear communication skills

 

DUTIES:

 

¨  Coordinate the project elements among the various functional groups on the business side and on the IT side of the process.

¨  Be accountable for the project completing on the delivery date.  Very important.

¨  Report risks and escalate as appropriate.

¨ Consolidate sub project plans and track the overall results.  This is a hands-on role with a lot of communication between groups and with the business users.

¨ Anticipate problems and take an active role in mitigation
