Project/Program Management

Ameritraining, Inc. is searching for an experienced Project Manager to work on a network refresh project, managing the ordering, staging, shipping, and installation of network equipment. This is a contract position expected to last 9 months. If selected, a background and drug screen will be required.

Position Description:
• Dedicated full-time project manager.
• Be 100% accountable for coordinating all aspects of the assigned project from planning through hand-off to maintenance organizations.
• Work closely with customer to develop a project plan including realistic master and state by state schedules for the entire rollout using Microsoft Project 2000 or Microsoft Excel. Develop project documentation on a dedicated shared drive for timely review by customer and all project team members.
• Responsible for working with Customer representatives to perform site discovery of needed equipment at sites in preparation for upgrade or installation.
• Oversee the equipment ordering and acquisition process. Ensure that pre and post sales customer service and performance meets Customer expectations.
• Coordinate with the equipment staging center to configure, test and ship Cisco equipment to the site installation teams. Compile data required to configure, test and document all new equipment including serial numbers, IP addresses and circuit IDs.
• Assist in preparing Install Guide for each site installation
• Develop and support a system of controls designed to keep the project on track, on schedule, and on budget. Problems are exposed early and resolved using guidelines developed and accepted in advance by all involved parties.
• Oversee the joint effort between the end customer and our client's engineers for the planning, installation, and acceptance of the CPE equipment.
• Schedule CPE installations and acceptance. Provide current documentation regarding site installation status.
• Oversee the scheduling and performance of technicians and 3rd party contractors assigned to install and test the new equipment.
• Develop and support a tracking system to ensure the sites are completed in accordance to the agreed upon schedule.
• Responsibilities to be performed during a normal 40-hour work week, typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, exclusive of vacations and holidays. May require evenings and weekends as needed to support site conversions. There may be a need to work additional hours or on a flexible schedule.
