Position: RF EngineerLocation: Starting in South Florida and working our way NorthTerm: 1 year contractSalary: $36 to $48/hr all inclusive Engineer Scope of Work and Job RequirementsScopeAssist local RF Engineer in CDMA design project Project involves CDMA 1xRTT/EvDO Voice/Data overlay on existing GSM/AMPS Network. Network includes both Cellular and PCS markets. Territory encompasses majority of Florida.Transfer RF Design to System Design Change Order (SDCO) template for approximately 800 sites. Assist Regulatory filings for aforementioned sites, includes co-locations on national tower co’s as well as towers soon to be acquired. Post-process drive test data and produce ATP reports following turn-up of each CDMA site. Assist RF Optimization of new CDMA network following implementation. Assist Local SP Engineers in integration of CDMA overlay.Drive-test pre-determined routes before and after turn-up of individual sites, while operating Wireless drive test equipment testing voice/data services. Post-process drive test data and produce ATP reports following turn-up of each CDMA site. Job RequirementsExperience with Commercial Wireless Network Design, both Cellular and PCS. Familiarity with CDMA 1xRTT/EvDO essential, GSM/IS-136/AMPS a plus. Experience working with Commercial Wireless RF Propagation tools, Geoplan preferred. Knowledge of Antenna theory, Cellular/PCS design principles (DAS)Strong Computer skills All MS Office suiteMapinfo, Commercial Navigation software (Delorme a plus) Drive Test Post-Processing software (Actix, Windcatcher, etc.) Previous Drive Test experience with commercial wireless test equipment. Datapro preferred, also Invex 3G, Agilent, Comarco, CATE a plus. Strong Computer skills Commercial navigation software (prefer Delorme) Drive Test Post-Processing software (Actix, Windcatcher, etc.) Must be able to work a demanding schedule, i.e. drive nights/weekends.
