That's why we're here. The position is in Subscriber Based Services Engineering team. The group is responsible for all design and maintenance of Intelligent Network (IN) applications like Prepaid, FlexPay, CallerTunes, Voicemail Routing Service and USSD. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to, designing of IN networks to introduce newer services and to support existing services, formulating test instructions for certification, perform upgrades and lead production rollouts for FOA and other network expansions. The position requires strong analytical and technical writing competency, as well as effective interpersonal skills to work with vendors and cross functional groups within the company. Responsibilities: * Ability to define T-Mobile specific requirements and effectively work with other departments, users and vendors on developing, testing, implementing and supporting these requirements for existing and upcoming products * Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IN and act as a point of contact on IN to internal and external teams * Code formaters on Multi-mediation devices * Prototype Tariffs and other structures within the rating and charging function * Research and provide input for all feature requests and platform enhancements * Create network designs and capacity plans * Followup on Change Requests with vendors * Participate and contribute in all design reviews * Use skills to continually enhance existing applications and processes * Support certification activities prior to live network rollout * Provide support to Tier II while in production * Mentoring junior members of the team Requirements * Excellent knowledge of GSM, UMTS, GPRS and IMS technologies * Previous work experience on nodes such as MSC, SCP, SDP a definite plus * Work experience in Ericsson's IN platforms or Charging systems a sought after qualification * Experience in CAPv2, INAP (CS1+, CS1), MAP, ISUP, Diameter protocols * Experience in IMS online charging a definite plus * Excellent knowledge on platforms such as SUN Solaris and/or Linux * IP and Router knowledge a definite plus * Excellent Analytical and troubleshooting skills a must * Basic to intermediary coding experience in any structured programming language * Experience in evaluating answers from vendors and preparing summary * Experience in managing vendors and driving roadmap * Ability to understand and reference Standards based specifications * Experience in working in cross functional teams * Ability to perform duties off hours when required * Must be self motivated and require little or no supervision * Strong negotiation skills Experience/Education § M.S or B.S degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Information Systems § Minimum of 5 years of design/testing experience in wireless industry § 3rd party certifications a plus T-Mobile USA offers a full range of comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, as well as matching 401(k), generous paid time off programs, mobile phone and service discounts, tuition reimbursement, free parking – not to mention a fun and business casual work environment.
