Regional Director of Sales
Comcast Corporation is the nation's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, with 24.1 million cable customers, 12.4 million high-speed Internet customers and 3.5 million voice customers. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Comcast is principally involved in the development, management and operation of broadband cable networks and in the delivery of programming content.
Comcast’s California Region is the largest in the company and provides service to over 2.3 million customers including the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Stockton, Monterey and Fresno. The CA region is home to approximately 7,500 talented employees.
The Regional Director of Sales will be responsible for supporting the area teams to maximize sales effectiveness in our effort to gain and retain new and/or existing customers across all product lines. Additional responsibilities include serving as a liaison between our corporate and division teams to identify and implements corporate driven initiatives and/or best practice program improvements.
The Director of Sales shall administer, evaluate and communicate marketing and sales programs across the following channels and initiatives:
• Direct Sales (D2D, FIND, Field Tech, internal/external)
• MDU
• Indirect Sales (Retail, Etail, Kiosks)
• OTM
This position sets the strategic sales direction for the identifying key processes/infrastructure and cross-functional partnerships to support exceptional customer satisfaction, retention and aggressive revenue growth objectives. Also will be responsible for the development of a sales training program.
Functions/Responsibilities:
•Establish and cultivate effective business relationships, both cross-functionally and with Area, Regional and Divisional teams to insure maximum effectiveness of the sales organization.
•Develop a consultative sales culture through strong leadership and coaching; develop, plan, and coordinate seminars, sale incentive plans, and other strategies to achieve business unit objectives.
•Work with area teams to minimize exposure in MDU developments and maximize opportunity in entering buildings not currently served by Comcast.
•Work with area teams to develop direct sales strategies and tactics to address the competitive realities in the marketplace.
•Negotiate contracts with Direct Sales Contracting Companies
•• Provide strategic direction to supportive sales channels (Customer Care, Service Centers, Field Technicians,)
•Identify and implement improvements in business processes yielding increased sales performance and/or higher operational efficiency
Required Skills:

• Establish partnerships and coordinate efforts with other internal organizations to insure maximum effectiveness of the sales organization
• Strong technical aptitude, verbal and written communication, problem solving and presentation skills.
• Effective people and relationship management skills, as well as the ability to deal in a changing and fast paced environment
• Residential/door-to-door sales background preferred
Education/ Experience:
• College graduate with 10 or more years of experience in residential, door-to-door or commercial sales. Min. 7+ years of managerial experience or equivalency.
• Experience managing functional sales disciplines with direct reporting lines and responsibilities. Solid analytical skills and budgeting experience.
