SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Design Broadband Loop Carrier and VoIP systems targeted at telco markets.
· Understand requirements, identify and evaluate alternative designs and make design choices
· Document designs through specifications, schematics, circuit descriptions, test plans, testing, etc.
· Participate in design reviews of the above documents
· Create detailed requirements for PCB layout for parts placement and signal integrity, and reviewing/approving actual layouts
· Build, debug, and test prototype systems
· Verify design, including developing and executing detailed board-level and system-level test plans and procedures, including compliance testing, and writing test reports
· Work with manufacturing to take products to production
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
· 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school; MSEE preferred
Experience
· Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required
· Circuit and system design including high-speed digital circuits up to 100 Mbps
· Preparation of schematic drawings including parts creation and BOMs
· Utilization of signal integrity principles, tools and practices
· Design, simulation, fitting, and test beds of programmable logic devices using HDL
· Documentation of specifications and designs
· Development of test plans and reports
· Use of circuit and/or system simulation tools
· Use of laboratory test equipment and techniques
· Solid circuit debugging skills
· ECL, PECL or LVDS experience preferred
· Software familiarity required; software experience a plus
· Familiarity with NEBS and other telco standards

· Ability to perform assigned tasks, exercise judgment, and meet schedules with minimum supervision
