Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Group Finance Director for Worldwide Sales located at our Westchester, IL facility.
The Group Finance Director is responsible for directing and controlling financial operations including the development and implementation of systems, procedures and policies for the Worldwide Sales (WWS) organization. The Group Finance Director also reviews, analyzes and interprets financial and budgetary reports. As well as, overseeing the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
Essential functions:
Responsible for managing all financial activities related to the global sales organization.
- Partners with senior management team to ensure that the overall function is effectively supporting the strategic goals of the business and anticipates changes in the business to proactively develop innovative solutions. Presents financial data for Corporate and Group management. Suggests new ideas and alternatives to Business issues;
- Performs analysis and reporting to develop recommendations that allow Worldwide Sales to better contribute to overall corporate goals; and
- Supports the regional sales VPs in meeting their goals and objectives.
Key contributor in approving strategic objectives developed by the sales team that are appropriately challenging and aligned with business objectives.
Responsible for managing worldwide revenue and quotas in line with the various levels of the sales organization for both reporting purposes and sales incentive plan.
- Assists in the definition of territories and account assignments;
- Develops systems for accurate collection of and communication of data from multiple ERP systems;
- Assists in the formulation of the SIP program, developing of performance measurements for all individuals in SIP, and the review/tracking and communicating of actual results; and
- Analyzes the effectiveness of the sales force and recommends changes.
Responsible for the revenue forecasting process for both annual operating plan and weekly forecast reviews.
- Coordinates with the business unit finance groups for annual revenue plan, including coordination of sales management inputs, reconciliation and review;
- Controls revenue movements throughout the plan process and eventual conversion into sales organization for both plan reporting and quota development;
- Responsible for system integrity and continued development of forecasting process, currently controlled by the CRM system;
- Continuous development focusing on improving function of CRM system, communication of data to sales and product line via SAP BW reporting, and integration of CRM into S&OP process; and
- Develops ongoing reports that assist sales in improving the integrity of both the revenue and demand forecasting process.
Responsible for the constructive review of the business groups actual expense performance, forecasts and prior period results.
- Monitors the preparation of financial plans and trend analysis; and
- Challenges Business Unit VPs in a constructive manner on Business results and analyses.
Develops staffing plans and establishes work plans/schedules for projects.
- Prioritizes staff workloads in order to meet objectives and appropriately serve the business;
- Responsible for personnel management including recruiting/hiring, supervision, disciplinary actions, performance appraisals/objectives and terminations; and
- Develops and trains staff to ensure high skill levels
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration; CPA or quivalent/MBA/MS preferred;
- Finance/accounting experience at the leadership level; Minimum of 10 years experience in all areas of accounting/ finance including cost, tax and general accounting as well as with 5 years of management experience;
- Experience collaborating with senior management and understanding the role of finance/accounting reporting and analysis in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have a strategic focus with the ability to analyze, formulate and implement finance/accounting strategies/controls for a global business;
- Exceptionally strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills;
- Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures;
- Strong leadership capabilities to develop staff, deliver results and build cohesive cross-cultural teams; and
- Experience using SAP or other ERP system.
