AMV Gateway has the following positions available:

 

Position Title: Satellite Teleport Engineer 



Responsibilities:

·  Responsible to carry out assigned duties and procedures within the Satellite Teleport Master Control Facility.

·  Strong knowledge of earth station systems with demonstrated abilities to maintain antenna systems and controls, RF systems equipment such as converters, transmitters and possess basic understanding of facility plant subsystems including UPS's and power distribution units.

·  Demonstrate good technical and operational understanding of the following technical disciplines: RF technology, Telecom, Video, IP/Broadband services, IT Networking (LAN/WAN/Desktop/Monitor & Control) and Facility infrastructure.

·  Install, test and configure all station hardware and software.

·  Perform shipping and receiving functions.

·  Perform maintenance of all station hardware as required by the PM schedule.

·  Routine outside work including climbing ladders, heavy lifting and equipment repair.

 

Qualifications:

·  Degree at Associates or Bachelors level in satellite engineering, communications, electronic engineering or equivalent military or commercial experience.

·  Very good interpersonal skills, the ability to respond quickly and graciously in a technical environment and to communicate effectively with customers.

·  Excellent verbal and written skills are necessary. Good PC experience utilizing MS Office software applications.
