Security Investigator III
Work with management in performing specific segments of an assignment, i.e., gathering data, conducting interviews, searching records, securing documents, performing surveillance and preparing reports with minimal supervision.
Plan, organize and conduct difficult and complex investigations of alleged suspected violations of company policy, laws and regulations concerning criminal and general investigations.
Plan, direct and perform surveillance as needed to determine places, persons or activities to be observed, time required and number of investigators needed.
Recruit and utilizes informants
Assignment of investigations to Investigator I and II personnel and supervision of those Investigators/investigations.
Build and maintain positive relationships with Comcast personnel.
Ensures that all investigations/inquiries are completely objective and brought to a logical conclusion in the best interest of Comcast.
Timely and accurate completion of investigative reports. Must be able to manage multiple types of investigations (Business Integrity Line, Theft of Service/Repeat Offender, Workplace Violence, etc.) at any time, assuming control of high stress investigative situations.
Must be knowledgeable with laws and statutes impacting methods used in successful investigations, and be able to make well-rounded decisions based on this experience.
Development and maintenance of professional working relationships with various law enforcement agencies. Often acts as single point of contact with law enforcement in cases involving employees or customers.
Working "undercover" as needed performing appropriate "sting" operations and or controlled illegal equipment purchases.
Ability to use sophisticated video and still photography equipment. Evaluates latest security products and techniques and provides advice and consultations in there use.
Testimony under oath in municipal, superior and federal court as needed.
Preparation and maintenance of case files, assignment of case numbers and completion of case log books in a neat, accurate and timely manner.
Conducts successful interviews of suspects, witnesses and victims.
Documentation, storage and maintenance of evidence per chain of evidence guidelines.
Communication of investigative information obtained on a need to know basis only.
Operation, securing and maintenance of company issued equipment including vehicles, photo/video gear, tools, pager, cell phone and two-way radios.
Perform various other assignments as required and assigned.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. Bachelor's degree in an area of study relevant to this position and more than 6 years experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector security organization.
Must have proven interview, interrogation and supervisory skills.
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) desired.
Bilingual skills a plus (English/Spanish).
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance.
Demonstrated written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently and handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
Valid state driver's license/acceptable driving record, and ability to pass background check.
Investigative positions are on-call 24x7 and are expected to make decisions at any hour, direct personnel as needed to complete successful investigations. Investigators may be required to travel (10-15%) to meet their goals.
Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently, sitting and or standing for extended periods of time, drive long distances, ability to climb ladders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with constant interruptions. Must be very detail oriented, and handle multiple tasks.
