Overview The Strategic Risk Management (SRM) group is responsible for enabling T-Mobile to understand, consider, and mitigate key business risks. SRM is responsible to champion, support, and drive the overall Risk Management and Assurance (RM&A) group's strategy to implement a greater enterprise view of risk through Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) architecture and framework, assessing and maintaining a portfolio group of risks, risk reporting, and communication. This includes the development and implementation of key enterprise risk management concepts and programs to support the achievement of T-Mobile's strategic and business objectives. These efforts enable risk professionals to assist management in identifying, measuring, prioritizing, establishing tolerances, mitigating, and documenting significant risks to the company. The role of this position is to support these efforts through support of the OpenPages Product Line and Enterprise Risk Reporting functions. II. Primary Responsibilities * Work closely with leadership, power-users and users, Application Support, & Enterprise Information Technology Business Management, as well as OpenPages consultants, to administer, configure, develop, and maintain OpenPages Product Line. Includes configuration of objects, developing and working with reports, and assisting the user group in learning about and utilizing OpenPages. Acts as the first level of support for business users when they need help with OpenPages. (OpenPages is newly acquired software that will contribute to the company's enterprise risk management efforts by uniting T-Mobile's risk and compliance initiatives into a single management system.) * Provide training to new users of OpenPages, as well as all users for refreshers and updates. * Work closely with management to design, develop, and gain user acceptance for and utilization of risk reporting methodologies, measurements, and reports. * Develop expertise in risk reporting in order to assist T-Mobile USA in building out an Enterprise Risk Management framework. * Perform operational risk assessments. Construct detailed and summary reports of assessment, including customized reports, as needed. III. People/Positions Interactions * Interacts with all members of the Risk Management & Assurance group, as well as the Finance Enterprise Services group. Interact with many Finance functions. * Develops and maintains strong relationships with business partners and ensures operational risks are identified for evolving change in businesses. * Works with teammates and business partners to evaluate requests, assess feasibility, develop prototypes and develop and implement solutions. IV. Qualifications & Experience * Requires no less than 3-5 years proven expertise working with end user data query, manipulation, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Excellent working knowledge of relational and dimensional data models, and relational database design and data modeling concepts. * Requires demonstrated ability in problem-solving and analysis: identifies issues, analyzes information to assess root cause, improvement opportunities, and associated risk * Requires strong computer skills, including MS Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Visio for flowcharting, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries and analyses. * Requires proven ability to take initiative and drive toward results. Must be a self-starter who is unafraid to ask questions, can easily multi-task and prioritize, has a strong sense of urgency, and possess a strong attention to detail. * Requires Bachelor's Degree or greater. * Desired to have knowledge of information systems terminology, concepts, and practices. * Desired to have operational risk management analytical experience.
