Senior Database Administrator

Job ID: 145818Position Description: The NIS Database Operations team is seeking an Oracle DBA to assist with the day to day monitoring, maintenance and tuning of Oracle databases within AT&T Mobility’s Network Services division. The selected individual would be part of a team that manages production, test and development databases, supports active development teams, and manages national projects. Primary responsibilities would include day to day database administration, performance tuning, security, and resolving database alarms and errors. The individual would be consulted by development teams in regards to proposed design and architecture and will also be engaged by platform engineering teams in regards to hardware upgrades. The user community will consist of all network operation employees nationwide from the market levels up to executive headquarters level. Individual must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.Qualifications:Oracle 9i, 10g, 10g Grid Control, Upgrades/Patches, SQL, PL/SQL, Unix, Sun Solaris, RedHat Linux, Experience with VLDBs (> 10TB) preferred, Gateways, Partitioning, Production environment experience required.
