Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Senior Electrical Engineer for an opportunity located in Westerville, Ohio or Warren, NJ.
The Senior Electrical Engineer applies advanced principles, theories and concepts along with providing highly innovative solutions for complex problems in radio frequency engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Executes broad range of Reliability tests.
2. Perform reliability test procedures following both customer requirement and developing innovative approaches according to specific product needs.
3. Documents test strategies, detailed plans and test results, and follows up on reliability deficiencies.
4. Analyzes and evaluates reliability test results and provides detailed documentation for follow up.
5. Establishes test procedures to meet reliability assessment needs.
6. Manages lab resources to support testing and failure mode analysis needs.
7. Make recommendations regarding test equipment and facilities needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. BSEE, (MSEE preferred), minimum of five years applicable professional experience.
2. Experience with reliability testing and test development.
3. Good knowledge of reliability engineering test methods.
4. Experience in radio frequency amplifiers, transceivers and base-station architectures are highly desirable.
5. Thorough understanding of RF Measurements at the system or unit level (not component level).
6. Familiarity with RF testing over various stress conditions (thermal, electrical, mechanical variations).
7. Ability to work with following test equipment: Spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF power meters, data acquisition equipment, power supplies.
8. Familiarity with RF Communications systems/schemes (CDMA, UMTS, TDMA, GSM).
9. Ability to write OWN Labview and/or Visual basic code (preferably Visual basic) to control test equipment (see above), take measurement data, format measurement data and interface to the unit under test (preferred).
10. Ability to understand customer specifications.
11. Ability to develop test plans and test reports.
12. Must possess excellent oral, written and presentational skills.
13. Must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team and capable of positively mentoring and guiding less experienced talent.
