Provide technical and marketing support and inputs for customer proposals and presentations. Requires demonstration of equipment for customers. Runs network applications testing, and may also include running performance tests. Requires monitoring and troubleshooting of platform and OS based problems, network infrastructure and connectivity issues. Requires light to advanced experience with a variety of protocols in a network environment. Must have system or software experience and network design experience or network operations experience. Must have good communication skills for customer support and interface.QualificationsRequires real time troubleshooting of product related, network infrastructure and connectivity issues. Working knowledge of the following is a plus: switched Ethernet, IP, VLANs, Frame Relay, ATM, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, T1, T3. ISDN, comprehension of the OSI reference model. Requires working knowledge of Enterprise LANs, WANs, Routers, switches, CSU/DSU, and related networking hardware. Requires understanding of the concepts of Internet, VPN, Voice Over IP, Intranet and Extranets. Requires excellent verbal and written communications skills; effective problem-solving and decision making skills; team facilitation skills; project facilitation skills; negotiation and consensus building skills. Must be a team player and work well with every level of the organization. Previous experience with Hughes products including HN/HX, ISBN and TES is preferred, but not required. Cisco certification (CCNA, CCIE), and RF knowledge is also a plus.
