We are currently hiring in Lawrenceville, GA or Toronto, CAN for the following: Senior Field Support Engineer MAIN DUTIES/TASKS: Installation, upgrades, maintenance and repairs to MPEG2, MPEG4, DVB and ATSC broadcast systems for Americas region, including 24/7 on-call coverage for technical assistance and troubleshooting. Responds via phone and on-site to customer issues. Maintains records relating to issues, projects and services. Provides 24/7 day-to-day technical assistance, support and troubleshooting via telephone or remote connection. Serves as a primary corporate contact for specific customer matters related to maintenance support. Testing and reviewing the pre-staging, re-installation and/or upgrades of existing systems. Provides after hours customer technical support on a rotating basis (24x7 support). Plan and execute end-to-end solutions testing of Cisco Service Provider Technology Group’s solutions. Travels to customer facilities when required.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. 5 + years of technical experience in the Broadcast, Cable or Satellite industry required. 2 + years of experience with MPEG-2/DVB, MPEG-4, DVB, ATSC and IP systems, including the installation and testing of end-to-end digital video delivery. 2 + years of experience with applicable data networking and/or digital video protocols and standards MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DVB, ATSC, Conditional Access, TCP/IP, Routing protocols, SNMP, and ATM. 2 + years of analyzing and troubleshooting large scale data networks and digital video compression delivery systems. Ability to travel 40% domestically and internationally PREFERRED SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communications and proven ability to serve as a knowledgeable representative of Cisco Service Provider Video Technology Group and its products to customers and partners. Second Language skills are an advantage.
