Senior Manager - Channel Marketing

Play a vital role in growing profitable revenues through the wholesale channel and acting as the voice of wholesale partners internally.

· Work effectively with a broad set of internal stakeholders including marketing, corporate communications, product management, sales, operations, finance and software development to create the best experience for Covad partners

· Create new marketing programs; design and track performance incentives, rebates, credits, price promotions, enterprise bounties, co-funded demand generation campaigns, sales contests, and other custom programs

· Develop sales tools with specific emphasis on usability by channel partners

· Meet regularly with top partner accounts to provide best practices and strategic marketing support to grow their business with Covad

· Conduct marketing program results and ROI analysis; get input and feedback from sales force on effectiveness of programs; provide updates to senior management on progress of initiatives and tactics against strategy, and make recommendations on how to improve programs and processes

· Become proficient in Covad’s Business Performance Management Software (Brio) for tracking wholesale partner business trends, performing program analysis, and providing data to support new marketing strategies. Project manage marketing programs end-to-end, including business trend analysis, program documentation, financial analysis, and budget approval.



· Experience tracking program performance and ROI. Specific experience with reporting applications (e.g., Brio) is preferred

· 6-8 years relevant channel marketing experience in a technology field; telecom industry experience ideal.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage cross functional projects and work effectively with senior sales and marketing executives

· Knowledge of total marketing mix, including program management, client communications strategies, product positioning and demand generation.

· Excellent analytical skills and business judgment.

· Proven organizational skills and an ability to set up systems and processes

· Experience tracking program performance and ROI. Specific experience with reporting applications (e.g., Brio) is preferred

· Prefer candidates that have significant experience working with different sales organizations (e.g., field sales, telesales)

· Innovative problem-solving abilities – able to find new ways to solve persistent problems; not satisfied until new solution is found. Self starter who can work independently and operate in a fast paced, changing environment.

· BA/BS in business, marketing or related field. MBA a plus
