Senior Sourcing Manager Indirect SourcingJDS Uniphase, an S&P 500 manufacturer of advanced telecommunication and optical products, is searching for a Senior Manager to develop and implement contemporary Indirect category management best-practice throughout the enterprise. Candidate will be responsible for management of all commercial and sourcing aspects of assigned Indirect categories, including the creation and oversight of cross-functional strategic category plans. Reporting to the Senior Director, Indirect Sourcing, this leader will help guide the quest toward cutting-edge in the areas of global Indirect sourcing, supplier development, lean purchasing, and technology-driven innovation. Duties & Responsibilities Sourcing and procurement of Indirect goods and services, managing an $80M portfolio Design of strategic supplier partnerships and creation of long-term supply agreements with key suppliers Establishment of quantitative supply chain metrics consistent with optimization of cost, quality, velocity, technology, service, and diversity Development and implementation of formal Supplier Development procedures, and utilization of Lean Six Sigma toward continuous improvement Implementation of appropriate supply chain systems including spend and performance analytics, eCommerce and iNegotiations platforms, and data warehousing Supervision of Indirect Buyer personnel, and training of requisitioners on Oracle iProcurement systems and contract complianceQualificationsRequired Qualifications:" 10 or more years experience in project management and global Indirect category management" Candidate will be a capable leader with strong interpersonal skills and a service orientation, and will also have the attributes of a collaborative mentor or teacher who can contribute to the development of a professional organization" Must have the strategic capability to devise comprehensive supply chain strategies, balanced by the operational capability to implement them; should be analytical, results oriented, with a bias for action. " Should have experience managing eCommerce platforms; Oracle iProcurement experience desirable" BA/BS degree required; MBA with industry certification(s) preferred" Travel expectations: 25%
