Senior Manager, Marketing

Symmetricom, Inc. is a market and technology leader in QoE monitoring solutions for IPTV and other triple play services.   Seeking to expand upon its position as a leading supplier to CSPs around the globe, Symmetricom is seeking a Senior Manager of Marketing for its QoE Assurance Division.  As a member of the QoE marketing team, this multi-talented individual will be responsible for all strategic product marketing (both internal and external), competitive positioning and differentiation, new product launches, and the clear articulation of QoE’s value proposition to the market.   The marketing mission will be to drive the development and implementation of product marketing strategies for this business unit.  Proven, executive-facing technical depth and experience in telecommunications and technology marketing will provide the credibility necessary to communicate key marketing messages as well as technology strategies to stakeholders that include customers, industry and financial analysts, other QoE team members, and team members within Symmetricom at large.   This "hands-on" role will utilize a wide variety tools within the marketing skills portfolio.  Cross-functional team management skills will be essential, as both the QoE team as well as other product and functional groups within Symmetricom will partner closely with this individual.  While technical proficiency with next generation IP networking is a must, a passion for creative marketing solutions will drive success in this role. Qualifications and Experience: Extensive knowledge and demonstrated success at marketing of products/services of real-time traffic over IP networks is required Prior experience with data/voice/video over IP networks is major plus and knowledge of OSS/NMS systems is a plus Work closely with sales to grow strategic accounts Provide guidance, leadership, and vision within the market and business opportunities for the company Serve as one of the company's key source of knowledge and analysis for information related to technology trends, competition, market sizing, etc. – especially related to external positioning and differentiation Strong analytics combined with a solid telecommunications background. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, emerging market environment.
