Senior Manager, Talent Development
1. Manage the design and execution of leadership assessment methodologies and talent management strategies and programs. Responsible for developing value added talent management programs and processes that address strategic business needs.
2. Serve as SME on organizational and individual assessment methodology and tools (including interpretation, debriefings and reporting) and use data for developmental purposes and leadership pipeline planning. Support Comcast North Central Division's Talent Review processes. Partner with business leaders and HR leaders to drive successful Talent Review processes, create succession and development plans for their organization.
3. Assists senior management in identifying and assessing key management talent; analyze and advise them on critical action steps needed. Strengthen management's ability to assess talent. Coach managers in organization review process and establishment of development plans; assist managers in the identification of high potential employees.
4. Creating evaluation materials, developing effective methods of analyzing, tracking and reporting metrics and a mastery of overall succession information.
5. Create and direct the process for identifying talent gaps within the organization. Map current/future critical positions to North Central Division strategy. Track organization review data and manage succession plans for key positions. Ensure internal & external recruitment and succession planning strategies are aligned with current and future needs.
6. Strategically monitor the development of key talent and ensure that development plans are in place and achieved, while ensuring readiness for next likely assignment.
7. Assist in the identification and tracking of key metrics to determine overall effectiveness of talent management initiatives and support of overall business goals.
8. Assure effective succession planning and outcomes; seek opportunities to link talent management processes with other key HR processes including leadership development.
9. Develop and execute, in partnership with Internal Communications team, a plan to brand, market and increase employee awareness of and engagement in Talent Management programs.
10. Promote Comcast North Central Division's focus on Talent Management externally in appropriate publications and at institutions/think tanks.
11. Propose resources and budgets required to support talent strategy efforts.
12. Accountable for staying abreast of trends and emerging practices within the Talent Management field through self-study, association memberships and by attending professional development programs.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 8 years of experience in human resources including functional expertise in developing, implementing, and tracking talent management programs and processes
Superior small and large group facilitation skills
Strong knowledge of talent management trends and best practices
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action and manage complexity is required
Must possess the ability to coach, advise, and influence the organization and senior leadership of long term, critical talent management goals
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to build and leverage internal and external relationships
Results-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible and adaptable in working in a highly matrixed environment
Must be willing and able to travel (division-wide and to diversity-recruitment events)
