Major Duties & Functions;

This individual will be responsible for the product management of Common Language Information Services in international markets.  In this role, the individual will need to have or quickly develop in-depth knowledge of the Common Language Information Services.  The individual will provide vision and strategy with respect to product definition, development and introduction into the market.  This position is responsible for: Planning, developing, and implementing strategy for current and new offersDeveloping roadmaps and pricing strategy for current and future offerings Bridging operations, sales, marketing and finance organizations to manage product life-cyclesObtaining an in-depth understanding of potential competitorsCompetitive analysis, build/buy/partner strategies, accountability for end-to-end offer management, business case preparation and realization, pricing and packaging are all within the scope of this positionAssessing market requirements, identifying customer needs, developing recommendations for technical product direction, and establishing pricing plans and strategies.  Interpreting customer requirements and making product enhancement/modification/evolution decisions.  Partnering with Common Language Business Operations organization to enable to streamline operationalization of existing and new product offerings.  Developing strategies with potential partners that have products that complement Common Language offerings.  Working closely with standards bodies to ensure appropriate adoption and representation of Common Language Information Services in the applicable standards organizationsEstablish a partner strategy and with business development implement that strategy.  Experience in this area is important as Common Language growth will be fueled by strong partner relationships.  Proven track record on working with SAP is a plusUnderstanding customer operations and how EMEA and CALA customers manage their operational data will be critical in successfully managing Common Language's growth in international markets

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

This individual will need to have:An ability to effectively communicateExpertise and understanding of Common Language Information ServicesAn in-depth understanding of the telecom marketplace with concentration on data managementA solid technical aptitude and experience working with technical products that do not enjoy a mass market customer baseA good understanding of the BSS and OSS space Experience positioning products into a new market space Solid aptitude for understanding and preparing business cases including managing Profit and Loss of the business 5+ years experience in a product management roleTravel to customer locations and potential partner locations is required.  Travel is estimated at approximately 25-30%.
