-Define product requirements for Packet Optical Switching Platform(s).



-Consolidate market data, customer and internal feedback and analyst assessments to provide product direction to meet market needs.

-Drive product launch process for platforms and new feature releases.

-Must be able to work well with prospects, customers and internal departments to define and drive product requirements and define product roadmap.

-Develop or assist in the development of presentations, data sheets, white papers and competitive analysis.

-Develop product pricing and forecast recommendations.

 



-BSEE or BSCS is a minimum. MBA a plus

-7+ years Product management and product introduction experience in telecommunications or data networking industry.

-Knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of technologies, standards, and product applications based on MPLS and Layer 2/3 technologies and protocols, DWDM, OTN/SONET/SDH, GMPLS/ASON Control Plane and Carrier Ethernet standards and protocols.

-Excellent Communication skills: written and verbal with an eye for details.

-Problem solver (assessment, options, recommendation and action).

-Travel may be required as needed.
